With over three decades of experience in the global tea and botanical industries, Richard Enticott is a seasoned professional whose career began in 1991 as a Trainee Tea Taster at Lyons Tetley in London. During a rigorous five-year apprenticeship, Richard honed his expertise by cupping up to 1,000 teas daily and gaining hands-on experience living and working in tea-growing regions such as Malawi, Kenya, Sri Lanka, and India.
Progressing to senior roles at Tetley, Richard oversaw tea, fruit, and herbal buying, blending, and product development. In 1999, he transitioned to New Jersey as Director of Tea Trading for James Finlay, managing the bulk tea trade from major origins to international and regional brands across North America.
In 2003, Richard became President and CEO of Martin Bauer USA, steering the company’s growth in North America by supplying high-quality tea, botanical ingredients, and extracts to the food, beverage, dietary supplement, and pharmaceutical industries.
In 2015, Richard acquired Meridian Trading Company and relocated to Boulder, CO. Under his leadership, Meridian has continued its legacy as a trusted supplier of botanical ingredients for tea and brewery markets, serving prominent brands across North America.
